Butt-kicking

That's what this virus (or whatever the heck it is I've got) is doing....it's kicking my butt!

I'm feeling a lot better than I was last weekend, but I am still feeling pretty crappy. It seems this "thing" has now moved into my sinuses. I've got such a wicked sinus headache and my face and my teeth hurt. I am soooo tired of being sick! *sigh*

Ok, enough complaining.

Thanks for all of the well-wishes for my mom. She is doing alot better. She is still in the hospital though, and no word on for how much longer. Her speech sounds really good, hardly any slurring, and her strength is picking up. She is now up and about walking around with a walker, just not on her own quite yet. I'm not sure what the hold-up is in releasing her, maybe she needs to be able to walk on her own? No one really knows.

So, totally unrelated, it is now November 15 and I'm feeling the Christmas pressure already! I know it's still early, but I feel like it's creeping up quickly and I'm going to be totally unprepared. I would really like to get everything done early this year as I'm tired of being out shopping the day or two before Christmas. I know no matter how prepared I am though, I'll still be out picking up last minute things that get sprung on me. I just realized today that I've got to try and get a decent picture of the kids for my Christmas cards. I already know how well THAT will go!

I just need to kick this cold/flu/sinus infection so I can get back on track!

That's great news that your mom seems to be doing well. Too bad they're not being clear on why she's being kept in the hospital but that's better than her being sent home before you all feel she's ready. It's a double-edged sword.

I hear you on being sick! I've been working on a wicked case of laryngitis since late last week and I'm so behind on everything - Christmas included. I haven't even STARTED thinking about anything Christmas but with the baby coming right around then I don't have much choice. It seems to have snuck up on me this year... although I say that every year. When will we ever learn Lacia?! ;)
